Jason Wallerich Accident Cannon Falls MN Death, Obituary – Goodhue Ferndale Market Employee Has Died
Jason James Wallerich, 46, of Goodhue, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22, 2026, following a farm-related accident at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Cannon Falls. His sudden death has brought deep sadness to his family, friends, coworkers, and the wider agricultural community. Remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking man, Jason leaves behind a legacy shaped by his dedication to family, his love of farming, and the care he showed to those around him.
Born on October 27, 1979, in Lake City, Minnesota, to Jim and Debbie Wallerich, Jason grew up with strong connections to the surrounding rural community. He met his wife, Molly, in 2013, and they married in 2016, building a life together centred on family, hard work, and shared experiences. Their five children, Landon, Marybeth, Truett, Huckley, and Joelle, were the greatest joy of his life, and he treasured the time he spent raising them.
Jason had a deep love for farming and took great pride in his work. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to doing things properly. He was also associated with Ferndale Market in Cannon Falls, where his dedication and contributions were valued by those who worked alongside him. For Jason, work was more than a responsibility; it was an opportunity to put his values into practice and contribute to the community around him.
Outside of work, Jason cherished making memories with his family. He enjoyed trips up north, playing ball, spending time outdoors, and taking the children to the farm to ride dirt bikes and four-wheelers. Giving them tractor rides and pulling them behind the snowmobile were among the simple pleasures that made family life special. These moments, filled with laughter and togetherness, will remain treasured memories for Molly and their children as they face the difficult days ahead.
Jason is survived by his wife, Molly; their five children; his parents, Jim and Debbie; his parents-in-law, Bruce and Becky Benrud; his sisters, Angela and Brittany; and many extended family members, friends, and coworkers. His funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, followed by burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Goodhue. As loved ones gather to honour his life, may they find strength in one another and comfort in the memories of a man whose love for his family and dedication to his work will not be forgotten.
