Clayton Garrett Hogg, 15, of Fayette, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, leaving his family, friends, and community heartbroken by the loss of a young life filled with promise. Born in Columbia, Missouri, on March 31, 2011, Clayton was the beloved son of Justin Hogg and Ashlee Hogg. His sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of those who loved him, and the memories he created during his short life will remain treasured by those who knew him.

Clayton was a young man who embraced life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a free spirit. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing happiness to ordinary moments. His smile and personality made a lasting impression on those around him, and his family and friends will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives. Though his time was far too brief, the love he shared and the connections he formed made his life meaningful to many.

He enjoyed a wide range of activities, especially basketball, golf, and baseball, and he was excited about playing baseball for Fayette High School in the spring. Clayton also loved riding dirt bikes and proudly displayed the trophies he earned while competing at the racetrack with his brother James. He enjoyed hunting in the woods, spending time outdoors, and playing video games, particularly Fortnite, with dreams of taking his gaming skills further. Whether he was enjoying sports, exploring nature, or laughing with friends, Clayton was happiest doing the things he loved.

Above all, Clayton cherished his family and friends. He leaves behind his parents, Justin Hogg and wife Loria, Ashlee Skaggs and husband Ryan, and his six siblings: James Hogg, Kolby Skaggs, Hayley Gordon, Jayden Gordon, Paisley Hogg, and Rylee Skaggs. He is also survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his presence. His loved ones now face the difficult task of moving forward without him, holding close the memories of his laughter, his adventurous spirit, and the special moments they shared.

Funeral services honoring Clayton’s life are scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Faith Family Church in Fayette, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the service at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly. In his memory, the family has suggested contributions to CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, an organization dedicated to supporting mental health and suicide prevention. As family and friends gather to celebrate Clayton’s life, may they find strength in one another and comfort in the love and memories he leaves behind.
